Robotics & Cobots Sorting Line Integration

Pharmaceutical packaging, so the safety case is the centre of this job rather than an appendix to it. We are integrating UR10 cobots into a sorting and packaging line where they will share space with operators. The work is pick-and-place configuration and testing, but every part of it has to be defensible: risk assessment, force and speed limiting validated by measurement rather than by specification sheet, and documentation that will stand up to an audit. We need someone who has done collaborative robot safety validation in a regulated environment and can talk about it specifically. Please describe a validation you performed, including what you found that the specification did not predict.

• Configure pick-and-place logic on the UR10 cobots for the sorting and packaging application
• Carry out the risk assessment to the applicable collaborative robot standards
• Validate force and speed limiting by measurement at every reachable contact point
• Produce validation documentation suitable for regulatory audit
• Train operators and maintenance on the safety envelope and what invalidates it
