Our client onboarding is 34 steps across five systems and one shared spreadsheet that is, in practice, the real system of record. It takes eleven days and about two of those are pure handoff latency — a step finishes and nobody knows to start the next one. We want the sequence orchestrated: state held in one place, each step triggered when its predecessor completes, and a clear view of where every client is. Six of the 34 steps genuinely need a human decision and those stay human — the point is that the other 28 stop waiting on somebody noticing. Please do not propose replacing the five systems. We are not doing that this year and the proposal will be discarded.

• Map the 34 steps with the operations team and identify the true dependencies, not the documented ones
• Build orchestration holding state centrally, integrating with all five systems as they are
• Keep the six human-decision steps human, with clear queues and notifications
• Retire the shared spreadsheet as system of record, with a migration of in-flight clients
• Provide a pipeline view showing where every client sits and how long they have been there
