Description

Finance close takes us nine days. About three of those are people hunting for context: why a journal was posted, which approval covered it, what the equivalent looked like last quarter. We want a copilot inside our ERP that answers those questions from our own data. Not forecasting, not advice — retrieval and explanation of things that already happened, with a link to the record. The important constraint is permissions. Our ERP has granular entity-level access and the copilot must respect it exactly: if a user cannot open a journal, the copilot must not summarise it, quote it, or confirm it exists. We will test this specifically before sign-off.

• Integrate retrieval with the ERP permission model so results are filtered per user, not filtered after
• Answer with a link to the underlying record for every claim, no uncited summaries
• Cover journals, approvals and prior-period comparisons for the close process
• Build the permission test suite we will use for acceptance, including negative cases
• Keep query latency inside the ERP session timeout
